Saw Todd at the Britt Fest 8(?) years ago opening for John Prine. Todd was great. He was still a newcomer....I've seen him recently on TV and he's obviously been hardened by the road and all that comes w/ it......more grit=better music...usually.

Yea, probably means you'll get tossed out. Atlanta can be some good times. Los Lobos in Piedmont Park should be good. Used to bike there/thru all the time when lived in Va Highlands. I'll make it back when drivin n cryin release their first album in over 11 years this fall....

The first time I saw driving and cryin'
was for free on the Emory campus one day after a test. I knew nothing about it, and managed to score a good show, free beer, and a nice interaction with a co-ed in one afternoon, all serendipitous like... I was so much older then but younger than that now...

we ended up buying a place in the Oak Grove area. Mailing address is Decatur but we are not in Decatur City. 4.5 miles to work.

Nice Choice. I live north of there, but still inside the perimeter. I spent most of my twenty years in ATL about two blocks from the Decatur post office, but when it came time to buy the real estate was out of my reach.

I remember when there were dirt roads b/w Roswell and Alpharetta. Woodstock was way out in the boondocks. And Lake Lanier had water.

"Play it pretty for Atlanta...."

I used to live two blocks from the Dark Horse when I did a residency at Emory Hospital. I was too broke to go there and see the Yuppies on my stipend!

Yuppies were upstairs - downstairs was the basement bar and local bands/musicians playing for next to nothing (most I can recall is a $5 cover) and cheap beer. Gotta poke around....

Pitchers of PBR at Moes and Joes.....
